At Farrar Gesini Dunn we do things differently and Valentine’s Day is no different. This year, our Family Law team in Sydney shook things up with a Champagne Breakfast at the Botanic Gardens Restaurants.
“All you need is love… and a BFA” read the swing tags on the Prosecco bottles gifted to each attendee; and whilst we are poking fun at Valentine’s Day capitalising on relationships, it’s also a tongue in cheek reminder of the seriousness of having a Binding Financial Agreement in place when you have assets to protect.
Whilst for some, Valentine’s Day brings to mind romance, flowers and a showering of gifts from that special person in your life, for many that’s not the reality of your relationship. Instead, for some people in a relationship, February 14 is another reminder of their partner’s shortcomings and for the single and the separated, Valentine’s Day is just another box on the calendar.
The FGD Breakfast has been a long running event in Canberra and gives everyone (regardless of their relationship status) a chance to enjoy the day.
FGD Sydney has decided to get involved as well this year by serving up a canapé style breakfast for referrers and colleagues.
The menu sent taste buds soaring with the likes of field mushrooms with goat’s cheese and onion jam, and frittatas with chorizo, spinach, potato and red onion.
Those who preferred more standard breakfast items opted for the shaved ham and swiss cheese croissant or a bowl of scrambled eggs with a toast soldier. For our guests on a health kick, there were pots of muesli with natural yoghurt and fruit compote, but it was hard to say no to a mini danish as they came past. Whilst the breakfast offerings went down a treat, the star of the morning was the drinks; made to order coffees, fruit or green smoothies and glasses of bubbly.
Everyone enjoyed the lovely green surrounding of the Botanic Gardens and as guests left the event, they did so happily toting a mini bottle of Prosecco.
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone from FGD Sydney!
FGD Canberra held their Valentine’s Day breakfast at Pialligo Estate and this year’s Melbourne event was hosted at Little Billy.
